The NIKE Indoor Nationals 2026 is upon us!

It is early Wednesday morning, March 11, and I am sitting in the Starbucks at the Shereton Time Square, getting some writing done.

Ricky Quintana, the comms manager for the NSAF, sent us this piece on the NIKE Indoors with links for Results, LIVE coverage and Schedule of Events. All of the information in one place!

RunBlogRun will be covering the event, all weekend long, with podcasts, interviews (audio and video), social commentary, and photos.

If you have specific questions, email me at [email protected] or DM me @runblogrun!

Nike Indoor Nationals Showcases the Top High School Track and Field Athletes in North America

NEW YORK, March 10, 2026 – The National Scholastic Athletics Foundation (NSAF) will host Nike Indoor Nationals on March 12-15, 2026, at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory. Over 5,500 athletes, from 48 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces, including 16 U.S. #1-ranked athletes and four high school national record holders, will compete at Nike Indoor Nationals over four days on the “fastest track in the world.”

What: Nike Indoor Nationals
When: Thursday, March 12 – Sunday, March 15

Where: The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory

The full schedule, registration link, entry guidelines, and much more can be found at NikeIndoorNationals.com, including:

  • Schedule
  • Live Results including heat sheets
  • Live Webcast
  • Tickets

Four national record holders will be on hand to test themselves against a who’s who of the best track and field athletes. Those record holders are:

  • Mariah Maxwell: The Texas-bound senior lowered the 300 meters national high school record by 0.06 with her 36.24 win at the VA Showcase two months ago. Earlier this year at USATF Indoor Track & Field Championships, she ran a U.S. #3 all-time 7.14 in the 60 meters to place third. She’ll compete in 200 meters where she is U.S. #2. Her 22.97 best this season in the 200 meters is U.S. #7 all-time.
  • Mia Maxwell: Mia, Mariah’s twin sister, who will also attend the University of Texas, ran 7.13 to place second in the 60 meters at the USATF Indoor Track & Field Championships, matching the national record. In the triple jump, she opened the season with an oh-so-close national triple jump record. Her 44’6” fell ¾” shy of the national record set in 2007. She’ll compete in the 200 meters, where she is U.S. #1 with a time of 22.89 (U.S. #4 all-time).
  • Tate Taylor: The U.S. record holder in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 300 meters, finished second in last year’s 60 meters in a time of 6.64. This year, he comes in ranked behind U.S. #1 Dillon Mitchell, U.S. #2 Chinweoke “Sam” Onwuchekwa, and U.S. #3 Jake Odey-Jordan in the 60 meters. Taylor will also compete in the 200 meters where he ran 20.46 in last year’s event, setting the national record.
  • Yevhen Zhmailo: On January 25, the Oklahoma-bound senior soared past the 38-year-old high school record in the triple jump by two inches with his 52’ 9 1/2”. All his jumps this season have been over 51’1” which is just outside the top 20 jumps in high school history. He’s entered in the triple jump and will compete in the long jump where he is U.S. #2.

Additional athletes to watch who could challenge national records or set new U.S. #1 marks in their events:

  • Blair Bartlett – In the first cross country season of her high school career, the junior finished 2nd at both the Nike Cross Nationals on December 2 and the Brooks XC National Championship on December 13. At the World Athletics Cross Country Championship on January 10, she finished 16th and the top American. Indoors, she has run the mile in 4:34.55 to move to U.S. #2 all-time and two-mile in 9:44.38 to move to U.S. #4 all-time. At NIN, she’ll compete in the 5,000 meters, the Distance Medley Relay, and the mile.
  • Natalie Dumas – As a junior, she stunned the nation with an unprecedented triple. She ran U.S. #8 all-time in the 400 meters, 51.14; U.S. #5 all-time in the 800 meters, 2:00.11; and the U.S. #8 all-time in the 400mH, 55.99 on three separate days. This season, the Arkansas-bound senior picked up where she left off. She is ranked U.S. #1 in the 600 meters with her 1:28.10, which is U.S. #5 all-time and U.S. #5 in the 400 meters with her 53.68.

New this year is state team scoring competition. Each athlete, regardless of affiliation, will be scored based on the state they are from. A live tally will be shown throughout the meet. The final event of the meet will be the C & C All-Star State Distance Medley Relay (DMR), named after Cooper Lutkenhaus and Caden Leonard, who came up with the concept. For more information on the state team scoring and the criteria for the All-Star State DMR, go HERE.
