Top U.S. Performances in Xiamen Diamond League (May 23, 2026)

A great second DL of the season, the Xiamen Diamond League, held on May 23, 2026, had some impressive American performances. Here’s what we noticed:

  1. Masai Russell is OH SO CLOSE! 12.14 for the 100m hurdles, a new American Record, a Diamond League record, the world lead and second fastest EVER!

  2. Equalling his personal best, Jamal Britt wins the 110m hurdles in 13.07.

  3. Valarie Allman Sion,  Discus Goddess, takes the Xiamen discus throw with a throw of 68.45 meters. Valarie and her coach, Zebulon Sion, were recently married, and we congratulate the wonderful couple.

  4. Men’s shot put: Jordan Geist in second (21.52m), Ryan Crouser in third (21.41m), and Roger Steen in fourth (21.25m).
  5. Women’s 200 meters: Anavia Battle in third in 22.29, Sha’Carri Richardson in 22.38 for 4th, Jenna Prandini in 5th in 22.46, McKenzie Long in eighth in 22.63.
  6. Men’s 100 meters: Trayvon Bromell, third in 10.03, Kenny Bednarek, 4th in 10.03.

  7. 400 meter hurdles: Caleb Dean, third in 47.75; Trevor Bassitt, 4th in 47.90.
  8. Women’s 1,500 meters: Emaily MacKay in third in 3:58.13!
