Werro superb, Hodgkinson too, Duplantis lost

STOCKHOLM (SWE, Jun 7): The highlight of the Bauhaus Galan was the women’s 800 m race as expected, but the main player was different. Audrey Werro’s finish over Keely Hodgkinson was special in a historic race, showing that the days of Kratochvilova’s record are numbered. On the other side local star Mondo Duplantis lost for first time since July 21, 2023 in Monaco (was fourth with 572). Since then he had 40 wins in a row. Except women 800 m two more meeting records in women steeple and shot put. US sprint favorites dominated, only Patterson lost in the 400 m. Special win for 17 years old runner in the 800 m. Scandinavian Tour will have last stop on Wednesday in Oslo.
