In the 1960s, it was adidas, PUMA, and Onitsuka. It was not until the 1980s (Seb Coe, Moscow) that NIKE had its first gold medal. Brooks has always had fine athletes, but their first World Champs was 2023.

Double Gold for Dejanea Oakley
Having just transitioned from an NIL deal to a professional deal with On, Dejanea Oakley (JAM) set the partnership off to a flying start, securing two gold medals for Jamaica: one in the women’s 400m and one in the women’s 4x400m. Following her individual gold, Oakley secured gold with the women’s 4x400m in spectacular fashion, taking the team from 4th to first in the final lap of the race.
Fellow Jamaican Lavany Williams, who also recently transitioned from a NIL deal to a professional deal with On, was part of the Jamaican 4x100m relay that successfully secured gold.
A first for Ezekiel
Having placed 4th at the World Championships in Tokyo last year, Nathaniel Ezekiel (NIG) secured his first international medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, out-sprinting the competition to take the win in the men’s 400m hurdles.
Robinson and Hollingsworth Deliver for Australia
Ky Robinson (AUS), who lives and trains in Boulder, Colorado, with the Global team of the On Athletics Club, collected two medals on the track, solidifying his incredible potential on the world stage. Kicking things off in the 10,000m, Robinson ran a solid race in the rain, leaving little doubt that he wouldn’t come away with the gold. A few days later, he took to the blue track again, this time securing the silver medal in the 5000m.
Claudia Hollingsworth (AUS), a member of the Oceania section of the On Athletics Club, secured the bronze medal in a competitive mile race. At just 21 years old, this was Hollingsworth’s first senior international medal for Australia; she shared the podium with fellow Australians Abbey Caldwell and Jess Hull.
