BRUSSELS (BEL): “I want to become a legend in this sport,” says Masai Russell. “I’m running really consistent times this season; all the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. The job’s not done yet. Sport is all about winning titles, starting this Saturday. To be regarded as a legend in the sport, you have to win trophies. And that’s what I want,” she adds. “Of course. When I set my world record in Zurich, there was hardly any wind. With a favorable tailwind, good temperatures, and plenty of energy from the stadium, it should be possible. Lots of things seem impossible… until they happen,” Russell is thinking about the possibility of breaking the 12-second barrier.
