Editor’s note: The Atlanta Track Club is one of the most innovative running clubs in the country. Its growth in numbers, events, and participants is inspiring.

Natalie Cabañas has been at ATC since 2017. I have been fortunate to work with Natalie on several event promotions, and I have always been grateful. It is always wonderful to see people find their calling and excel at it.

Great management helps a team excel. They work very hard at the Atlanta Track Club, and it shows. Congrats to Natalie Cabañas on her new title and to Rich Kenah for building and developing such a strong team at the Atlanta Track Club!

And one final note: The release below was from the Atlanta Track Club. In the busy media days, with smaller staffs and much less time, savvy media groups, who actually want coverage by independent media, send releases and updates via email, not just Instagram.

Natalie Cabañas Named Chief Marketing Officer at Atlanta Track Club, New Role Expands Focus on Brand and Growth as Club Looks Toward Its Future

ATLANTA – Sept. 24, 2026 – Atlanta Track Club today announced Natalie Cabañas as its Chief Marketing Officer, a newly created role reflecting an expanded focus on brand, audience, and revenue growth as the organization positions itself for the future.

“Natalie has grown alongside Atlanta Track Club over the last decade while consistently challenging the organization to extend its reach and serve this community,” said Rich Kenah, CEO. “She understands the city, the industry, our audiences and our mission, and she has demonstrated an ability to turn that understanding into meaningful growth.”

Since joining Atlanta Track Club in 2017, Cabañas has led the marketing efforts for some of the organization’s most significant events and milestones, including the 50th Running of the Peachtree Road Race. Her responsibilities have included event and program marketing, social media, membership and merchandising, all while managing a growing marketing staff. In 2022, Cabañas joined the leadership team as Director of Operations and Administration, broadening her experience across registration and CRM platforms, volunteer services, customer experience, and day-to-day operations. In 2023, she returned to the marketing department as Director of Marketing and Communications.

Cabañas has helped shape a period of unprecedented growth for Atlanta Track Club. She played a key role in marketing the organization as membership exceeded 30,000 and, since returning to lead marketing, has helped grow membership to more than 44,000, the highest in Club history. She also helped launch the Northside Hospital Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race, which sold out in both of its first two years. Under her leadership, the Club has achieved recurring sellouts across premier events including Atlanta Marathon Weekend, the PNC Atlanta 10 Miler & 5K, and the Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Events. Today, she leads marketing, membership, and merchandise efforts for more than 40 events annually.

“I’ve spent nearly a decade at Atlanta Track Club, and the moments that stay with me aren’t campaign launches or registration numbers. They’re the moments when someone crosses a finish line believing in themselves a little more than when they started,” said Cabañas. “I’ve grown here alongside this organization, and I’m grateful for the people who have challenged me and believed in me along the way. As we look to what’s next, I want to help Atlanta Track Club reach more people while creating more opportunities for them to feel seen and welcome along the way.”

As Chief Marketing Officer, Cabañas will lead the Club’s marketing, communications, brand and revenue growth strategy, with a focus on growing participation and membership, strengthening earned revenue and building deeper relationships with the runners and walkers Atlanta Track Club serves. The role comes as the Club looks toward its future, including a proposed Indoor Track & Field Center at the historic Cheney site in Summerhill.
