GAINESVILLE: World 100 m medalist Andre De Grasse of Canada won his race at Florida Relays with wind-assisted 9.99 (+3.3). Behind him Ivory Coast´s Wilfried Koffi 10.04 and Cayman Island´s Kemar Hyman 10.14. World indoor long jump champion Marquis Dendy was 6th in 10.37. In other race Christian Coleman 10.16 (+1.7) PB. But there have been World leading marks. Ali Ahmed 20.16 in the 200 m (+2.0), he is former US sprinter but from 2015 represents Sudan (also national record). Previous PB was 20.46 from last year. Also Wesley Vazquez of Puertorico 1:44:75 in the 800 m ahead of his country-mate Andres Arroyo 1:45.78 PB and Isaiah Harris 1:46.05. Another WL 12.85 (+1.4) for Jackie Coward in the 100 m hurdles with Raven Clay second 12.94 PB. Eddie Lovett posted 13.39 WL for Virgin Islands in men hurdles beating Jamaican Deuce Carter 13.41 PB, Cayman Island´s Ronald Forbes 13.41 national record, former World champion Jason Richardson 13.50 and Olympian Jeff Porter 13.51. Nigerian Kunle Fasasi won the 400 m (45.43 PB), NCAA Indoor Champion Henry Wynne 1500 m in 3:38.35 PB and Jonathan Addison 790 (+1.8, outdoor PB) long jump. In women events World indoor champion Chanelle Price 2:01.72 in the 800 m, Gabrielle Thomas 22.75 (+0.6) in the 200 m and Shayla Sanders windy 11.15 (+2.7) in the 100 m. Also Caribbean wins for Tia-Adana Belle of Barbados 56.34 PB in the 400 m hurdles, Diamara Planell from Puertorico 440 in pole vault (equalled NR) and Chantel Malone of British Virgin Islands long jump 666 (+0.8). Here second French European Indoor champion Eloyse Lesueur 647 (+1.8), her first long jump since European Indoors 2015. In the High School girls 100 m hurdles Chanel Brissett (belongs to U18 category) clocked excellent 13.19 (+0.2), so far the top junior result in 2016.
