Portland, Oregon
The course was challenging from the start, and after the Boys race, several athletes went down, only to recover. Tha tis the nature of the championships. The race develops like a living, breathing entity. Jaelyn Williams, from California, almost stole the race, but Natasza Dudek willed herself back into the race and won the NXN girls champs, only to collapse at the finish from the effort.
Natasza Dudek, Blair Bartlett and Jaelyn Williams had battled away from the field. Natasza Dudek won in 16:50.1, Blair Bartlett was second in 16:51.7 and Jaeylyn Williams was third in 16:58.0!
On the team size, it was Wayzata Girls XC with 142 points over Niwot Girls XC with 147 points!
