Coming back to Boston in pursuit of another win, Josh Hoey will lead the field in the men’s 800m. Last year, Hoey elevated himself to the upper echelon of world middle-distance running, first with a flawless winter that saw him become the second-fastest man ever at both 800m and 1000m indoors and concluded with the gold medal at 800m at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China. Outdoors, Hoey continued his meteoric rise, and concluded the season as the fourth-ranked man in the world at 800m. Now already gearing up for 2026, Hoey opened his indoor season last month by running 1:12.84 for 600m at Boston University, taking nearly a second off the previous world best.

“Boston is one of the most special cities in the world for indoor track and is home to a deeply rooted community built over many years with a fierce culture for chasing excellence and it means a lot to me to be part of it,” said Hoey.

Australia’s Jessica Hull, the 2024 Olympic silver medalist and 2025 world bronze medalist at 1500m, will join previously announced Elle St. Pierre in the women’s 3000m. Two years ago, Hull and St. Pierre produced a photo finish 3000m thriller at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, with Hull getting the win in a then-Australian record of 8:24.93 to St. Pierre’s 8:25.25. A month later, St. Pierre came out on top, winning gold at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in a US-record of 8:20.87, to Hull’s 8:24.39 for fourth place.

In the men’s 3000m, Graham Blanks, the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Champion will take on Andrew Coscoran, who set an Irish indoor national record of 7:30.75 for 3000m with his victory here at last year’s New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.

Those competitors join previously announced top athletes Noah Lyles, Jake Wightman and Grant Fisher.

The 2026 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will be shown live on NBC from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST* on Saturday, Jan. 24 and is a founding member of the World Athletics Indoor Tour. The series of the best indoor athletics events around the world awards overall tour winners $10,000 and a guaranteed spot at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Kujawy Pomorze, Poland.

Now in its 31st year, the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix has played host to nine world records and 16 American records.

Media application for the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix is now open. It can be accessed via nbindoorgrandprix.com/media-form and will close on Jan. 12, 2026.

*Please note that the broadcast window has been revised from previous publication.
