Editor’s comments:  The world is getting more competitive and On running has grabbed some serious global star power to highlight On running. Mujinga Kambundji is a World Champion, as is her sister, Ditaji. Both now are racing for the brand, On. I also have to say that both are superb ambassadors for their country, Switzerland and their new brand, On. This writer has interviewed both athletes and really appreciates their thoughtfulness and love of the sport! An astute move by the brand, as the Kambundji sisters are loved in their home country.

ZURICH, Switzerland – February 10, 2026 – On, the Swiss-born global sportswear brand is proud to announce the signing of Swiss sports icon Mujinga Kambundji, one of the world’s most decorated track and field athletes.

Kambundji, a two-time World Indoor and European Champion, has long been a symbol of Swiss speed. Her decorated career includes multiple global titles, national records from 60m to 200m, two Swiss Sportswoman of the Year awards, and multiple Olympic final appearances in the 100m and 200m, solidifying her as one of the world’s elite sprinters.

A Family Affair

The partnership marks a return to Swiss roots and family, as Mujinga joins her sister, World Champion Ditaji Kambundji, on the On global roster. For the first time, Switzerland’s highly formidable sporting sisters will be powered by the same Swiss technology, standing side by side as ambassadors for the brand. The partnership also comes at a defining moment in Kambundji’s personal life and career: following the birth of her first child, she is preparing for a return to the blocks that embodies the resilience at the heart of the On brand.

“Mujinga is more than Switzerland’s fastest woman; she is a pioneer who redefined the landscape of Swiss athletics, carving a path so that the professional standards today’s athletes take for granted were made possible by her grit,” says Flavio Calligaris, Senior Director of Athlete Strategy and Partnerships at On.  “At On, our partnership is built on taking that same trailblazing passion to give back to the athletics community, ensuring the next generation has the platform they need to succeed. As she returns to the blocks as a mother, we are proud to support her continued pursuit of medals on the world stage, proving that the greatest dreams are those we chase together, both on and off the track.”

A Shared Vision for the Future

This partnership goes beyond technical specs. While Mujinga will collaborate closely with On’s teams to develop the next generation of high-performance gear, a central part of the partnership—near and dear to both Mujinga and On—is the focus on community impact. By integrating her story of resilience and family with On’s innovative spirit, the collaboration seeks to ignite the human spirit through movement across Switzerland, ensuring the next generation of athletes has the inspiration, the gear, and the platform to chase their biggest dreams.

“Joining the On family is much more than a partnership; it’s the beginning of the most meaningful chapter of my career,” says Mujinga.  “I now want to show that being a mother isn’t the end of my athletic journey, but the start of something even greater. As a Swiss athlete, I’ve watched On transform the world of running. Their commitment to innovation and “Dream On” philosophy aligns with my own drive to push boundaries. Our goal is to inspire the next generation to believe that no dream is too big to pursue. I can’t wait to step into the starting blocks powered by Swiss innovation, and sharing this meaningful chapter with my sister, Ditaji.”
