BERLIN (GER, March 6): Jakub Szymanski set a new national record of 7.37 and equalled a world lead in the 60m hurdles at the ISTAF Indoor 2026 (WIT Silver) over Polish fellow Damian Czykier (7.55). It is equal 7th best ever in the hurdles and 2nd best European all-time.

World champion Jessica Schilder got in last round of shot put 20.69, equaled her overall best, World lead and Dutch indoor record. Second Auriol Dongmo 19.14 beat home star Yemisi Ogunleye 19.08.

World Indoor champion Jeremiah Azu improved his 60m lifetime best to 6.47 EL and won ahead of Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme (6.55) and Ireland’s Toluwabori Akinola (6.57). Nadine Visser in 7.81 defeated Ditaji Kambundji (7.82) in the 60m hurdles, while Pia Skrzyszowska was a dq in heats.

Canada’s Sade McCreath improved to 7.12 to win the 60m from Maia McCoy (7.16 PB) and Minke Bisschops (7.19). Pauline Hondema with 657 defeated Malaika Mihambo (657) in the long jump, and Ernest John Obiena won the pole vault over Simon Guttormsen on countback, both clearing 578.
