This is my daily chat with #RunBlogRun viewers and track fans on all things track & field! We go LIVE Monday-Saturday, at 10 Am Central time in the U.S.A.
1. Special thanks to Brooks Running, sponsor since 1990, learn more at www.brooksrunning.com. Upcoming events are Brooks athletes at #BostonMarathon on April 20. #BrooksPRinvite is June 7, 2026, at Renton Memorial Stadium.
2. The #StanfordInvite is a great early-season track and field. Some fine high school events, lots of distances. BYU all over, and Jane Hedengren ran 30:46.80, the new NCAA record for 10,000m in a closely fought race, where the top two lapped the field.

3. Watch for the story by RunBlogRun (we had pieces posted on Saturday night/Sunday morning on the 10,000m on IG, FB, and X. ) Thanks to Aggies for their support.
4. Sound Running did a wonderful job on presenting The TEN, sponsored by HOKA, with a dynamic debut in the Women’s elite and three NRs for the top three men in elite men’s 10,000m!
5. Looking forward to Jeff Benjamin receiving the RRCA JournalismAward for his amazing coverage of the sport on our platforms: American Athletics, American Track & Field, RunningNetwork, and RunBlogRun. Congrats Jeff! Jeff will receive his award on April 11.
6. Arcadia Invite is this coming weekend (April 11), Boston marathon on April 20, and the London Marathon on April 26.
Jeff Benjamin and Frank Shorter, Olympic gold medalists in Munich 1972 and silver medalists in Montreal 1976, were among Jeff’s nominators for the Award.

He currently manages the content and marketing development of the RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun. Of RunBlogRun, his daily pilgrimage with the sport, Larry says: "I have to admit, I love traveling to far away meets, writing about the sport I love, and the athletes I respect, for my readers at runblogrun.com, the most of anything I have ever done, except, maybe running itself." Also does some updates for BBC Sports at key events, which he truly enjoys.
