BIRMINGHAM 2026 DAY 5

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“It doesn’t sting because I was beaten by a great athlete. I think I put together a pretty good race. I don’t think I did anything wrong. The thing about the 800m is you can have a million different ways it could go in your head. Nobody really knew, so you have to think on your feet. But I think I covered every move well. I just didn’t have enough,” Keely Hodgkinson.

“I need to sleep on it first to be able to process it. It was tough for my head as my qualification was not good. I like all lanes, so nine was not a problem. The best tactic for me was to be faster and faster during the race. I had enough energy at the end and was prepared to respond to any faster athlete,” Audrey Werro.
