Here’s your preview of the Diamond League stop today, meet 3 in 2019 at Bauhaus-Stockholm, today, May 30, 2019. Special thanks to EME News.

Norman, Echevarria, Stahl

STOCKHOLM (SWE): The 10th jubilee IAAF Diamond League is after Asia coming to in Europe. The main expectations are connected at Bauhaus Galan at legendary Olympic Stadium with Michael Norman who makes his DL 400 m debut. Cuban Juan Miguel Echevarría is another star name at this third meeting in the series. Dina Asher-Smith and Hellen Obiri look to continue on winning form, while Sandra Perkovic and Mariya Lasitskene are among those stars debuting this summer. Home crowd expects something from Daniel Stahl. Several national races are staged in the pre-programme with international participants, including shot put for men and women.

Event by event

Men

200m: World champion Ramil Guliyev heads a field which includes Alonso Edward, Jereem Richards and Aaron Brown.

400m: A meeting highlight sees Michael Norman after his strong early season 43.45 and 200 m PB in Japan. Rai Benjamin switches to this, while also included is 44.02 man Baboloki Thebe.

800m (non-DL): European indoor champion Marcin Lewandowski lines up as fastest in the field is Ryan Sanchez.

1500m: Diamond League champion Timothy Cheruiyot tries to make up for his defeat to world champion Elijah Manangoi. Two other sub-3:30 performers are in the field, along with all three Ingebrigtsens.

Women

200m: Dina Asher-Smith looks to continue on from Doha victory, facing Olympic and world champions respectively Elaine Thompson and Dafne Schippers. WL possible.

800m: Ajee Wilson aims to step up from third in Doha. Habitam Alemu, Natoya Goule and Nelly Jepkosgei are among the top contenders also.

1500m (non-DL): Laura Muir should be untroubled, although she faces Sarah McDonald, one of the athletes who surprisingly beat her on the roads last weekend.

5000m: World champion Hellen Obiri looks to stay on top after her win in Doha. Caroline Chepkirui and Agnes Tirop lead the challengers. World lead for sure.
