Sha’Carrie Richardson kept the excitement going on the 4th day, with her wins in the 100 meters and 200 meters were unique. John Mulkeen, aka @statman_jon,noted that her performances were, well historic!

AUSTIN (USA, Jun 8): Sha’Carri Richardson, 19, produced an incredible 10.75/22.17 sprint double at the NCAA Championships. Richardson smashed Marlies Gohr’s long-standing world U20 record of 10.88 and the NCAA record of 10.78 in the 100m before lowering Allyson Felix’s world U20 record in the 200m by 0.01 to 22.17. However, she was pipped to the line in the 200m by Anglerne Annelus, seventh in the 100m final, who won in a 22.16 world lead. Janeek Brown produced another highlight by winning the 100m hurdles in a world lead and Jamaican record of 12.40 ahead of a world-19 best of 12.52 from Channel Brisset. Elsewhere on the track, Wadeline Jonathas won the 400m in a Haitian record of 50.60, Anna Cockrell won the 400m hurdles in 55.23, Allie Ostrander won her third successive title in the 3000m steeplechase in 9:37.23 and Sinclaire Jackson won the 1500m in a championship record of 4:05.98. Ashtin Zamzow won the heptathlon with 6222 points and excellent all-rounder Laulauga Tausaga won the discus with a throw of 63.26m. There were also world leads in the 4x100m for USC (42.21) and in the 4x400m for Texas A&M (3:25.57).
