MONACO (MON): Herculis EBS meeting again showed its middle distance magic. This year with mile world record by Hassan, but also fastest 800 m since 2012 by Amos. Except of mile 5 World leads (McLaughlin, Amos, El Bakkali, Lisek and Hassan 1500 m) and three meet records (Lisek, Taylor, Amos). The 400 m start will be also remembered, but great depth in pole vault or Taylor vs Claye clash too. Gatlin surprised Lyles in the 100 m.

Men

100 m: Gatlin after good start beat Lyles 9.91 to 9.92 (+0.3), NCAA star Oduuduru in pro debut 8th 10.26.

400 m: Gardiner wins clearly in 44.51 over Samba 45.00 after 6 minutes of waiting after the first start was called back, but two runners Jones and Zambrano did not hear and completed the lap. Montgomery was later disqualified for false start.

800 m: Fastest time since 2012 for Amos 1:41.89 MR and WL, F. Rotich 1:42.54 PB and Tuka EL 1:43.62.

1500 m: T. Cheruiyot is ruling with 3:29.97 over Jakob Ingebritgsten 3:30.47, Ugandan record for Musagala 3:30.58 and huge PB for Grice 3:30.62. Top 8 went sub 3:32.

Steeple: WL at the end, after strong finish El Bakkali 8:04.82 over Kigen 8:05.12 PB, Wale Ethiopian record 8:05.51 and Spanish record and fourth best European all-time Carro 8:05.69. Top 8 sub 8:10.

PV: Lisek is in Superman´s shape, he cleares 602 NR, MR, WL. Duplantis and again alive Braz both 592. Seven jumped 582 or more.

TJ: Taylor won also this clash Claye 17.82 MR to 17.75.

JT: Kirt attacked in last round 87.47 but it was not enough for Hofmann 87.84, Rohler third 86.04.

Women

200 m: SMU remains unbeaten this year with 22.09 (+0.1) SB and 3rd best 2019 over Thompson 22.44 and Schippers 22.45.

800 m: Second fastest of the year for Wilson 1:57.73 over Goule 1:57.90 and EL/PB for miler Muir 1:58.42.

Brave Like Gabe Mile: World record by Hassan after strong finish 4:12.33 beating Weightman to 4:17.60 PB, Canadian record Stafford 4:17.87 and Ethiopian Tsegay 4:18.31. Hassan in 1500 m split got 3:55.30 NR and WL and 5th best European ever.

100mH: Harrison 2nd best of the year 12.43 (+0.1) with D. Williams 12.52, Clemons 12.62 and WL holder J. Brown 12.71.

400mH: WL for McLaughlin in first running event of the evening 53.32. Spencer beat Hejnova 54.46 to 54.55 for second.

HJ: Lasitskene as only one cleared 200 and went to 204 but no success.
