Poland opens the season
CHORZOW (POL): Justyna Swiety-Ersetic will open her season in Chorzow on Saturday when she will contest the 100m, 300m and 600m as pacemaker for Joanna Jozwik in the space of 90 minutes, informs Przeglad Sportowy. “It wasn’t my idea. Initially, I was supposed to run only 100 m and 300 m, but I was asked to help in the 600 m. I was reluctant to do it, but the trainer said it would be a good workout, so I decided to do it,” she said. Konrad Bukowiecki and Michal Haratyk will go head-to-head in the shot put again and Wojciech Nowicki (hammer) and Pawel Wojciechowski (pole vault) are also due to make their season’s debuts. Karol Zalewski is scheduled for 300 m and Lukasz Krawczuk with Rafal Omelko for the 400 m. The coming weekend will see competition action in several European countries.
