Mike Rodgers went 10.15 SB on 11 September 2020. I enjoy my time with Mike, he’s a straight shooter. Check out my interview with him in February 2019. MIke has been in Europe in 2020, not as long as most seasons, but he did get in some good races.

SAMORIN (SVK, Sep 11): US sprinter Mike Rodgers highlighted the 55th edition of PTS Meeting in Slovakia (WACT Silver) with 10.15 (+0.3) season best in the 100 m final at the end of the programme ahead of allowed 300 spectators. Dutch champion Taymir Burnet second 10.37 and home star Jan Volko third 10.38. Stadium record for Belarus long jumper Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova 670 (+0.2) in Eva Suranova Memorial event. Another one in 400 m hurdles by Anna Ryzhykova 55.21 over Sara Slott Petersen 56.28 as Slovak new star Emma Zapletalova while leading stumbled at 9th hurdle and fell. Stadium records in both 400 m races. On the women side Laiviai Nielsen 51.70 over Lieke Klaver 51.92 and Czech talent Barbora Malikova 52.35. Among men Jochem Dobber 46.01 over Rabah Yusif 46.13 and home surprise Oliver Murcko getting Slovak U20 record 46.29. Cindy Ofili fulfilled favorite role in women 100 m hurdles final with 12.99 (+0.5) and the same for Estonian Rasmus Magi 49.32 in the 400 m hurdles. Top Slovak win for Tomas Veszelka in triple with season best 16.69 (+0.2) over favorite Christian Taylor 16.53 (+0.2). Gabriela Gajanova beat in the 800 good field with season best 2:01.26 over Sara Kuivisto from Finland 2:01.60 PB and Ireland´s Nadia Power 2:02.12. Both winning walkers clocked world leads in the 3000 m on the track, Miroslav Uradnik 11:07.21 (with Olympic winner Matej Toth second 11:22.47) and Maria Katerinka Czakova 12:35.99. Martina Hrasnova won women hammer 69.86, but Marcel Lomnicky in men hammer with 74.48 lost to Greek Christos Frantzeskakis who achieved in last round 75.34. World leader Maksim Nedasekau won the high jump on count back over Lithuanian Andrijus Glebauskas, both 225. Former World champion Vitezslav Vesely from Czech Republic dominated the javelin with 77.99.
