Quanera Hayes is a 400m specialist, who has won gold medals on US 4x400m relay teams in 2016 World Indoors, 2017 World Outdoors and 2018 World Indoors. In 2021, Quanera surprised many with her win at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 400m.

Quarera Hayes places 7th in the Toky Olympic 400m final.

This weekend, she is competing at the 400 meters.

Quanera Hayes is a very talented athlete in two of the most competitive events in the US women’s track & field.

She runs the 200m and 400m, and also the 4x400m relay!

She has won gold medals at the 2016 World Indoors in Portland at the 4x400m, the London 2017 World Outdoors, and the 2018 Birmingham World Outdoors. In 2016, Quanera also took the bronze in the individual 400m indoors.

Last summer, Quanera put it all together at the very right time and won the 400m final of the US Olympic Trials in 49.78. She had sent her PB winning the US Champs title in 2017, in 49.72.

At the presser today, Quanera noted that, post Olympics (where she placed 7th in the women’s 400m), ” I took six weeks off, and then began training.

When asked about the difference between the 400m outdoors and the 400m indoors, Quanera replied, ” I have never been asked that question before, that is a good question. In the 400m indoors, you must get out hard in the first lap, and work the second lap.”

Watch Quanera Hayes run this weekend.

Let’s see how much she controls the 400 meters this weekend.

Good luck, Quanera!
