Allyson Felix has moved from the 100 meters to the 400 meters at the Reebok GP tomorrow. The athletes seen in the Shereton lobby were the stars of global track & field as athletes arrive for tomorrow’s Reebok New York Grand Prix. Watch for the men and women’s 400 meter hurdles. The men’s high hurdles will have Terrance Trammell and Ladji Doucoure from France!

NEW YORK (USA): More updates from Reebok New York Grand Prix meeting on Saturday. Allyson Felix is no longer entered in the 100 m, but runs the 400 m. Disclosed were the hurdles fields. Olympic winners will run both 400 m barrier races. Jamaican Melaine Walker will run her first race since Sydney in February (55.50) and is unbeaten since February 2008. She will face the other olympic medalist Tasha Danvers from Great Britain. In the men´s race Angelo Taylor will face bronze winner from Beijing Bershawn Jackson (Kerron Clement runs the flat race) and Puertorican Javier Culson who has the second fastest of the year so far. In hurdles sprint Beijing olympic medalist David Payne runs against former olympic medalist Terrence Trammell and former World Champion (2005) Ladji Doucoure of France
World lead for Samitova at 1500 m
SOCHI (RUS, May 29): During first day of Russian Team Championships (competing are regions) olympic steeple gold medalist Gulnara Samitova clocked new world leading 4:03.62 at 1500 m. Also fast was second Natalya Yevdokimova who was timed at 4:04.47. Olympic relay winner Yuliya Gushchina achieved european leading 51.11 at 400 m. European champion 2006 Lyudmila Kolchanova leaped to solid 672 in long jump and European indoor champion Yulia Golubchikova went over 425 to win the pole vault. In sprints negative winds did not help as Yevgeniy Borisov got only 14.14 at 110 m hurdles to win and European indoor champion Yevgeniya Polyakova 11.47 at 100 m. Valentin Kruglyakov posted solid 46.38 at 400 m. The event is held under new rules as European Team Championships in June.
Williamson and Edwards windy 10.10 at 100 m
BEOGRAD (SRB, May 29): The fourth Artur Takac Memorial (EA Classic Meeting) registered three meet records on quiet evening before some 8000 spectators at Partizan Stadium. US Funmi Jimoh leaped to 672 (+0.5) in long jump, Ebonie Floyd clocked 23.25 at 200 m (+1.4) and British world junior champion Stephanie Twell registered at 5000 m also huge PB 15:18.47. Fast 100 m final was aided by too strong wind (+3.0) when Simeon Williamson of Great Britain beat by milimeters US Rae Edwards as both were timed at 10.10. Third another Briton Craig Pickering achieved 10.16 ahead of US Marcus Brunson (10.24) and Austrian Ryan Moseley (10.26). Williamson had legal 10.26 while winning his heat (+1.9) and Marcus Brunson 10.24 (+1.5) ahead of Pickering 10.26 in the other heat. Another Briton from Pace Sports Management Andy Turner was close to his 13.27 life time best from Osaka World Championships when he clocked 13.29 to win the 110 m hurdles with slight wind aid over the allowed limit (+2.1). More US wins for Jenny Adams at 100 m hurdles with 13.15 (+2.0) and Stephanie Durst at 100 m (11.27, +1.5). European wins in running events for Belgian Cedric van Branteghem at 400 m (46.45) and Hungarian Judit Varga at 1500 m (4:12.39). Kenyans ruled in men distances. Richard Kiplagat won the memorial event 800 m (1:47.68) and Edwin Kipkorir the 5000 m in 13:20.67 PB. Career bests also for following 20-years old Kenyans Bernard Sang (13:21.65) and Bernard Kiplagat (13:21.84). From technical events the best depth in men´s shot put. Canadian olympic fourth placer Dylan Armstrong won (20.49) ahead of Jamaican record holder Dorian Scott (20.24) and best European Pavel Sofyin of Russia (20.14). Fourth Serbian Asmir Kolasinac improved to exactly 20 metres. Only home win was registered by javelin junior Tatjana Jelaca (58.50). Greek Konstantinos Baniotis as only one cleared 224 to win the high jump and Ukrainian Natalya Semenova was best in discus (61.72). More than 150 athletes from 39 countries competed.
Dutch steeple record
NIJMEGEN (NED, May 29): Miranda Boonstra improved her own Dutch steeple record at Nijmegen Global Athletics Meeting with 9:38.40. Her former mark was 9:42.87 from last year in Neerpelt. Fast times also at men´s 1500 m. Bronze medalist from World Youth Championships 2007 in Ostrava Dawit Wolde (18) won the 1500 m in new PB 3:38.22. Second Ugandan steeple record holder also clocked life-time best as second (3:38.86).
Mockenhaupt 8:45.79 european lead
WIESBADEN (GER, May 29): Berlin-bound for marathon Sabrina Mockenhaupt clocked european leading 8:45.79 at 3000 m at a local meeting. She started slowly and ended with last kilo at 2:50 level. Her next meet is planned in Regensburg on June 7 where she plans to run fast 10 000 m.

NEW YORK (USA): Leading an exceptional field for the 38th running of the NYRR New York Mini 10-K on Sunday, June 7, will be 2004 Mini champion and Olympic Marathon bronze medalist Deena Kastor and 2004 and 2008 Olympic Marathon silver medalist, Catherine Ndereba of Kenya. Informs Race Results Weekly. A terrific international field will be joining Kastor and Ndereba on the starting line, fourteen of whom have broken 33 minutes for 10 km either on the track or the road. They include Americans Serena Burla (32:47.48), Magdalena Lewy Boulet (32:33.02), Amy Rudolph (31:18.96), and Sara Slattery (31:57.94); Briton Michelle Ross-Cope (32:41), Ethiopians Aziza Aliyu (32:43) and Ashu Kasim (32:09.67); Japanese Yuri Kano (31:53.07), Kenyan Rose Kosgei (32:14+), and South African Rene Kalmer (32:28). In all, five Olympians are in the field. The Mini winner will pocket $10,000 out of a $35,000 prize money purse which includes special prize money for Americans.
