Mark Hoffman of the National Coaching Senate sent this on to me before the holidays, and
I forgot to post it. This looks like a very worthwhile event. RBR encourages all coaches, to go to their state coaching clinics each and every year and try a nearby state once in a while too! Coaching effectively is about always keeping one’s eyes and ears open for new and innovative techniques and perhaps a new approach to a present conundrum.

The 2011 National Coaching Conference will take place at the Antlers

come together to discuss and debate how we can develop a more strategic,
integrated, and aligned system of athlete and coach development.

The conference will focus on the sharing of best practices, latest
research and ideas in coaching and coaching education. It will seek
to “educate, collaborate, and celebrate” by:

  • Providing top professionals to share their knowledge through formal presentations, breakout sessions, and dynamic panels
  • Providing the opportunity to network and debate issues and ideas with colleagues
  • Celebrating the profession of coaching by recognizing great coaches
at the youth, developmental and elite levels through the USOC Coach of
    the Year Awards Dinner
National Governing Bodies, Sports and Corporate Partners can participate in the Conference by:

  • Attending
  • Encouraging club member coaches to attend
  • Presenting
  • Sponsoring an event (lunch, reception, clinic, awards)
