Last week, on April 16, the 116th running of the BAA Boston Marathon was hot, hot, did I say hot. Wesley Korir took the men’s race and Sharon Cherop won the women’s race with a two second lead, the fifth time that the women’s elite race has come down to two or more women together at six hundred meters to go.
The story of the 2012 BAA Boston Marathon really is how the community services, the race services and the community came together to make sure that, while the day was hot, the runners were cared for, when needed.
