The Meeting AREVA, Paris Diamond League was a huge success on July 6. French athletes gave the 50,236 locals something to truly cheer about, from Mahiedine Menkissi-Bennebad’s French and European record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase of 8:00.09, to Lemaitre’s third and Vicaut’s sixth and PB in the 200 meters. Pascal Martinot-Legare took second in the 110m hurdles, to Bob Tahri’s fine 3:33 in the 1,500 meters.
Then, there was the battle supreme between Kirani James and LaShawn Merritt! Top that with Tirunesh Dibaba’s 14:23.68 for 5,000 meters and Usain Bolt’s WL 200 meters of 19.73 and you had three hours of fantastic track & field.
PhotoRun captured many of the great moments on digital photos, and RunningNetwork’s
Chuck Bartlett compiled them into this photo gallery. We hope you enjoy it!
