This is part two of our A Day in the Life series, filmed and produced by The Shoe Addicts for the IAAF. Aries Merritt is an anomoly in this sport, or any sport. What is similar is his drive to succeed. Aries Merritt has supernatural focus. And, we have to admit, easy to appreciate and respect. Anytime this writer gets a few minutes with Aries, and it is normally on the road, we catch up and chat on track and his travels. Watch Aries in 2018!

Aries Merritt is the world record holder in the 110 meter hurdles, that is a fact. That Aries Merritt is also the London Olympic champion is also a fact. Aries dealt with some injury issues earlier this season, but he has won some big races recently and told us, back in April, that he wants to win World Championship gold.

Problem is, so does Jason Richardson, Ryan Wilson and a few others….
This video was done for the IAAF by the Shoe Addicts.
