Anna Hall Day 4 World Athletics Championships Mixed Zone Interview

This interview with Anna Hall was just after her bronze medal in the heptathlon and was brought to RunBlogRun courtesy of EBU Radio. 

Anna Hall is a tremendous athlete, having just won the NCAA championships in 2022 (you can read our story on Anna here).

Three weeks after winning the NCAA Champs, Anna came back and won the heptathlon at the USATF Champs, thereby taking one of the three coveted places to Eugene, Oregon at the World Championships.

Anna Hall has had the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, as ABC Wide World of Sports used to regale us with at their opening.

Anna Hall had a stellar performance at the World Champs.

Anna ran 13.20 for 1094 points in the 100m hurdles, 1.86m in the High Jump for 1,054/2148, 13.67m for the shot put, 772/2,920, and ending day 1 with a 23.08 for 1071/3,9991.

On day 2, Anna leaped 6.39m in the long jump, for 972 points /4,963, 45.75 m in the javelin for 778 points/ 5,741, and with a gutty 800m in 2:06.67 for 1,014 points for 6,755 PB and the bronze.

Of Anna Hall, Jackie Joyner-Kersee told this writer, ” Anna has it all, speed, strength, agility. It was nice to finally see an American back on the heptathlon podium.”
