This is an update on the racing schedules of World Champ Tamirat Tola (marathon gold and Yemma Crippa, European medalist(10,000m gold and 5,000m bronze), as both are racing in Trento, Italy, during the first weekend of October 2022.
World champion Tamirat Tola will be racing at the Trento Half Marathon on October 2, 2022, in Trento, Italy. The Ethiopian added a gold to his WC bronze from 2017 with a brilliant charge from 30-35 k that gave the tough marathoner an exciting win and course record in the streets of Eugene and Springfield, Oregon, this past July at the World Athletics Outdoor Championships.
Yemma Crippa took gold at the 10,000m distance in Munich in August on the last day of the European Athletics Championships (he had previously taken bronze at the 5,000m at the same EA Champs), this past August. Yemma is competing in Trento, Italy, at the Giro Al Sas 10k on October 1, 2022.
Trento will be busy with a big 10k on Oct 1 and a big half marathon on October 2. Stay tuned on the success of the two champions.

TRENTO (ITA): Organizers have announced European 10 000 m champion Yeman Crippa as the first name for Giro Al Sas (10 km on the road) and World marathon champion Tamirat Tola from Ethiopia as the leading name for Trento Half-Marathon. More names will be announced later. Giro Al Sas will be held on October 1, and the half marathon on October 2.
