This writer has enjoyed personal visits to Paris in 2011, Goteborg in 2013, Prague in 2015, and Belgrade in 2017. They were thrilling events, and the crowds loved the performances. I am hoping to visit Istanbul for the 2023 European Indoors. Here are the standards for the 2023 European Indoor Championships.
The qualifying system and entry standards for the Istanbul 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships have been published and can be viewed here.
Next year’s championships will be held in the Atakoy Stadium from 2-5 March, the same arena that hosted the World Athletics Indoor Championships in 2012.
The last edition of the European Athletics Indoor Championships were held in Torun, Poland, in March 2021, when highlights included Armand Duplantis clearing 6.05m in the pole vault and Femke Bol and Jakob Ingebrigtsen winning 400/4x400m and 1500/3000m doubles.
