Jessica Ennis-Hill won the 2012 London Olympic games heptathlon in iconic style. Her performances there cemented her into the multi-event pantheon, but also made her part of the finest moment in British Athletics-the so-called “Super Saturday” where Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford and Jessica Ennis-Hill all acheived gold medals in an amazing two hour period.
In 2013, Jessica Ennis-Hill was married. In 2014, she gave birth to her son, Reggie, and now, in 2015, Jessie is on the road to Rio. Remember, the goal is Rio. Coming to Beijing, and hoping to do her very best at this time, in only her second heptathlon since 2012 is the goal. She should be in the medal hunt for silver or bronze. Her coach, Toni Minichiello, a keen observer of the sport, and one of our global sport’s finest coaches, spoke with Jessie two days after the London DL, where she ran the 100m hurdles in cold and wind, leaped well in the long jump and finished up with the 200 meters, all with no pain. After that, it was a pretty logical decision to come to Beijing.
