The amazing day that was April 21, 2014 gave us some historic moments: four women under the course record, and the first American male win since 1983. My mind will always stay with the fact that, for nearly two hours, on both the men and women's sides, Americans were leading the races.

I did this audio tape during my walk through Boston Commons, around eight pm on Monday night, as the clean up crews were clearing out the piles of banana skins, and Gatorade cups in the trash cans.

An amazing day, a historic day, a day when 36,000 runners showed how wonderful the city of Boston truly is. Boston Strong.
