Angela Tenorio is one of the most exciting athletes to come out of the World Juniors. In a unique situation, Angela had to race against herself, on a cool evening in Eugene, to get into the semi final. Having to run 11.77 or better to get into the semi-final, most in the crowd did not know just how good the Ecuadorian star was.

But, as nine thousand track fans watched the lone sprinter line up by herself, and wait through twenty minutes of issues with the equipment, all in Hayward Field were wishing her on.
As she lined up, many wondered if she could do it. And then, the gun went off. As Angela Tenorio tore down the track, it was evident that we were watching something special.
Angela Tenorio ran 11.28 for the 100 meters, the second fastest time of the meet.
In the 100 meters, Ecuador’s Angela Tenario took the silver. In the 200 meters, Angela Tenorio took the bronze.
Mui bueno performance for an athlete who should show us many more performances that will lift up our hearts!
