Controversial sprinter Dwain Chambers runs 6.51 twice today in Sheffield, Usain Bolt jogs a 46.36 opener for 400 meters in Jamaica and Nuria Fernandez cranks 4:01.77 for the world leader at Valencia, Spain permit meeting.

Chambers 6.51 in semis
SHEFFIELD (GBR, Feb 14): Dwain Chambers showed an impressive shape in semifinals of Aviva European Trials and UK Championships when he equalled the world lead and posted new european lead 6.51 at 60 m. It is also his new PB, in heats he was also the fastest with 6.53. Another favorite Craig Pickering was after heats in 6.66 disqualified in semifinals. Later today also the finals will be held.

Chambers again 6.51
SHEFFIELD (GBR): Dwain Chambers clocked after semifinals another 6.51 european leading time, his PB while winning the 60 m at UK Trials. He qualified so for European Indoor Championships in Torino. In Italy he will be one of the headliner of the event. Tyrone Edgar was second (6.64) and Simeon Williamson third (6.66). Chris Tomlinson won the Long Jump (772) and Gemma Bennett clocked good quality PB 8.06 to win the 60 m Hurdles ahead of multi-events star Kelly Sotherton (8.30).

Kingston (jam): Usain Bolt clocked excellent 46.36 while jogging in his 400 test.
Valencia (esp): Spanish Nuria Fernández clocked world leading 1500 m 4:01.77 at valencia iaaf indoor permit meet. She improved substantially the 4:07.72 of Russian Yevdokimova from January.
