Rumour has it that IAAF’s Bob Hersh challenged the IAAF Evaluation Commission to an athletics’ triathlon: 400 meters, long jump and hammer throw. Sure hope that there are some hydration products nearby!

With some seriousness, the IAAF Evaluation Commission is in London to evaluate the London 2017 bid for the World Championships. The commission will evaluate the site for two days and then head to Doha, Qatar for their two days of evaluation.

While there is some levity in the photos, much rides on these evaluations. Both London 2017 and Doha 2017 are focused on success. The evaluation visits will be part of the research provided to the voters on which site best fits the IAAF’s needs for the 2017 World Championships.
