Top-ranked Florida State prevailed over a stubborn Oregon team, which is ranked #4.
“That was close,” FSU women’s coach Karen Harvey said. “I was nervous there for a while. We learned a lot and saw some of the things we’re going to have to get better. … We just wrote our mid-term and did pretty well on it, but there’s a lot more work to do before NCAA’s yet.”
Wichita State’s Aliphine Tuliamuk-Bolton, 12th at last year’s Nationals,  remained unbeaten as she held off UTEP’s Risper Kimaiyo. Oregon’s Jordan Hasay, last year’s Div.I runnerup, finished 5th.
