Ricky Simms, manager of Pace Sports Management, sent us this piece on Mo Farah and the significance of his 3:28.81 for the 1,500m on Friday, July 19, 2013. 

 

Mo Farah moved to 6th on the World All-Time 1500m list and 2nd on the PACE Sports Management All-Time List for 1500m with his3:28.81 in Monaco.  Bethwel Birgen’s 3:30.77 ranks him at number 10 on the PACE list.

 

Noah Ngeny holds the PACE record with 3:28.12. 3rd is William Chirchir (3:29.29), 4th Daniel Komen (3:29.46), 5th Laban Rotich (3:29.91). The Top 5 are all sub 3:30.

 

A further 5 PACE athletes have 3:30 PB’s – John Kibowen, Cornelius Chirchir, William Tanui, Paul Korir and Bethwel Birgen. The Top 10 are all sub 3:31.
