Ed Eyestone, Todd Williams, Pat Porter, XC 1993,
Cross country is one of the oldest disciplines in our sport. It dates back to club racing in England in the nineteenth century.
The three men shown above were fine cross country runners, who became fine track and field athletes and also Olympic athletes.
The 1993 USA XC champs were one of the most beautiful, and coldest cross country championships on record, as can be seen from the pictures.
During your hill workouts, focus on running efficiently up the hills. Jog down easy, we will deal with down hill running later.
