Molly Huddle,
Cross country is one of the top five participatory sports in high school sports in US. If one counts cross country and track & field as the global sport they are, athletics, then cross country is part of the largest sport in high schools.
Over 500,000 high schoolers will run cross country this coming Fall.
We hope you are enjoying our summer training program, which has been extended, thanks to a new sponsor, who will be announced next week, to fifteen weeks.
Saturday: warm up, 40-45 minute run, easy pace, three times 150 meter stride outs, cooldown.
If you want to race, go to an All comers meet and run the 800 meters, do a pick up relay, have some fun.
If you race a 5k, then do three times 3 minutes surges in the race, and have some fun.
