The adidas Boost technology has been called, and I quote, “paradigm changing”. adidas Boost technology has been noted as the best adidas tech since the Dellinger Web in the late 1970s-early 1980s.

This is the evolution of the Supernova with Boost technology. Watch for more evolution and the use of Boost in more technical products in different product silos.

ADIDAS INTRODUCES SUPERNOVA SEQUENCE BOOST

FOR STABILITY AND COMFORT

PORTLAND, Ore., June 2, 2014 – adidas introduces the Supernova Sequence Boost, a stability running shoe with revolutionary Boost cushioning that delivers exceptional support and  uncompromised comfort.

Supernova Sequence Boost uses a full length STABLEFRAME, which guides the foot throughout the foot strike, allowing it to sit within rather than on top of the frame for support.

“The Supernova Sequence Boost introduces the revolutionary qualities of Boost to an even wider audience of runners,” said Mikal Peveto, director or running for adidas America. “With the addition of the Supernova Sequence to the Boost family, we’re now able to offer a comprehensive Boost line across the neutral and stable footwear categories.”

In addition to added comfort, Boost cushioning provides a higher energy return than any other material in the running industry by using thousands of energy capsules that remain soft yet responsive, even in the most extreme weather conditions. Boost works in harmony with the adidas Torsion System, which allows the shoe to adapt to any running surface upon landing to ensure midfoot support in the plant and push-off phases.

“Supernova Sequence Boost is the most stable adidas running shoe we’ve ever tested and one of the most stable running shoes on the market today,” said Andrew Barr, senior product manager at adidas Running. “Supernova Sequence Boost delivers the best of both worlds by providing the adaptive stability and uncompromised comfort that most runners assume they have to abandon when buying a stabilizing running shoe.”

An engineered mesh upper delivers additional support on both lateral and medial sides. A full heel-to-toe Continental rubber outsole with a strategically flattened surface distributes the load of impact over a larger area, further contributing to its superior stability.

Supernova Sequence Boost is available now for $130 at adidas.com, adidas Sport Performance stores and select retailers nationwide.

Innovation is the engine of adidas running.  adidas creates high performance footwear and apparel to help athletes of every level get faster and better for their sport.  For more information visit adidas.com/running,facebook.com/adidasrunning and follow the conversation on Twitter at #Boost and @adidasUS.
