Heavy metal for the lightest running shoe.

On Cloud wins ISPO Gold Award for the 2015 best performance running shoe.

MUNICH, Germany – January 30th, 2015 – The young Swiss Sports Company On wins the
prestigious Gold Award at ISPO, the international sporting goods trade fair for its lightweight per-
formance running shoe the Cloud. On’s patented technology has now been recognized a second
time after winning the ISPO gold award in 2013 for its competition shoe the “Cloudracer”.

On introduced the Cloud, the lightest, fully-cushioned running shoe to the world last year. It
celebrates the notion of Zero-Gravity Running by being incredibly cushioned, yet weighing less
than 200g (7oz). The Cloud embodies On’s patented Swiss CloudTec® system which combines
that of a soft landing and explosive takeoff. Not only has On’s technology convinced the ISPO jury,
but also Olympic athletes such as Nicola Spirig. She won several international competitions in the
Cloud and will be training in the 2015 best performance running shoe while getting ready for the
2016 Olympics in Rio.

After receiving countless applications, the international ISPO jury picked the Cloud as the
2015 best performance running shoe, which was developed in Switzerland by a team led by Ex-
Duathlon World-Champion and six-time Ironman winner Olivier Bernhard.

What is special about the Cloud?

Olivier Bernhard: “The Cloud with Zero-Gravity foam and On’s patented Swiss CloudTec®
technology is the lightest running shoe in the world, still it offers outstanding cushioning and impact
protection. ”

Who runs in the Cloud?

Olivier Bernhard: Hobby runners as well as world-class athletes who are training or
competing swear by the Cloud. This includes Olympic triathlon winner Nicola Spirig. In December
2014 she wore the Cloud at her Ironman debut and win in Mexico.

Why has the ISPO jury selected the Cloud as the 2015 best performance running shoe:

Urs Weber, from Runner’s World and in the ISPO-Jury: “The Cloud from the young Swiss
shoe brand On attracts runners and athletes of all endurance sports. It is a lightweight training shoe,
yet it provides comfortable cushioning through the special cushioning system of the midsole and
outsole construction. The stylish upper material is very breathable and a true design statement for
running shoes.”

Background information

How does On’s patented CloudTec® system work?

Cushioned landing, firm push-off: that’s the core concept behind the new running shoe by
On, the young Swiss-based manufacturer. It’s a radical development: On’s patented technology
combines all the benefits of a soft training shoe and a hard and fast racing shoe. Land on the sand,
push off from the running track!

The secret to this bold new dual functionality lies in the On’s “Clouds” – hollow pods on the
sole of the shoe that stretch back on impact to cushion the landing and then lock to form the solid
foundation required for a powerful push-off. The result is a new running experience: fast, light and
agile.

Athletes who have worn Ons and their coaches have reported new personal bests and
shorter recovery times. These findings are also backed up by scientific research: independent
studies by Switzerland’s reputed Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich have confirmed that the
patented CloudTec® system substantially reduces athletes’ heart rates and blood lactate levels.

Who is On?

On AG is a young Swiss sports company based in Zurich, Switzerland that has one simple mission:
make running fun. This notion is spearheaded by a team of team of sports scientists and running
enthusiasts led by world-class athlete Olivier Bernhard (triple world champion and six-time Ironman
winner).

The revolutionary On running shoe has already won the prestigious ISPO Brand New Award
for Innovation in Sport. And it continues to garner further design and technology distinctions all
over the world – most recently the Design Prize Switzerland for 2013, the Swiss Economic Award
2014 and the 2015 ISPO Gold Award for the Best Performance Shoe.

On’s ingenious CloudTec® system is patented worldwide. And just five years since their
market launch, On shoes are already available from more than 1’400 specialist running stores in 25
countries in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.
