The word was out early Saturday morning that ARD-TV was going to report a BIG Story. I cringed. I was sent the following link by one of my keen observers with the note, "Very Disturbing".

I have noted and thought for some time, that before our sport completely embraces zero tolerance, that we will, unfortunately, have our Lance Armstrong moment. However, the Sunday Times articles and ARD TV note what many in sport have noted for sometime: cheating is most beneficial at the top of the food chain. What I do resent is comparing and contrasting sports, such as "well sport a is years behind sport b".

My concerns are how so called passports are interpreted and if the interpretations done for ARD TV are self serving. But the largest issue is how European law will see the leaking of confidential information on 12,500 plus blood tests. It is only days before the so called British star's name who has had strange blood readings' name will be revealed.

The upcoming IAAF President is going to have lots to deal with from day 1. A line in the sand needs to be drawn about the past and future of the sport.

I look forward to your comments on this broadcast! Please send me a note to [email protected]
