Mark Korir had won the Paris Marathon in 2015. He has a fast time of 2:05:49. And yet, people did not see him as the favorite.
Well, Mark let his feet do the talking, when he broke the field at 38 kilometers and he was off! 2:06:48 was his winning time, and he put 34 seconds on Martin Kosgey and an additional seven seconds on Cybrian Kotut.
Andy Edwards of Race News Services interviewed Mark Korir just after his victory at the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon on October 30, 2016. Race News Services is a partner of the RunningNetwork and RunBlogRun, providing us with global content on major road races around the world.
