LEXINGTON (USA): Sprinter Tyson Gay is keen to mentor youths in Lexington after the shooting death of his 15-year-old daughter Trinity last Sunday, informs AP. "We must come together as a community to protect each other, giving our young people the tools they need to resolve their conflicts and lead successful lives, the kind that Trinity was well on her way to living," he said in a statement.

RunBlogRun opines: Tyson Gay is a rare athlete and individual. RunBlogRun offers our condolences and prayers on the loss of his daughter, Trinity. A child is not supposed to precede the parent in leaving this earthly life. We do not know what else to say, except that Tyson Gay spoke so eloquently at the memorial and after the funeral for his daughter.
