Rudisha confirms third Olympic gold as main goal

MUMBAI (IND): David Rudisha is hoping to win a third Olympic title in Tokyo 2020, informs the Asian Age. “Right now my target is Tokyo 2020. It’s good to be able to work towards a goal. I will be around 31 then in Tokyo. It is a good bracket to contest. I still feel a lot of energy. I just want to stay strong, stay fit and to be able to win the title again,” said Rudisha. He is in Mumbai as the international event ambassador of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon. Rudisha will continue to focus on the 800m but he hasn’t ruled out trying the 1500m. “My manager pushes me to do 1500m, I can’t see myself doing that now but in future, maybe.”

RunBlogRun Opines: Well, the 800 meters has gotten more interesting! David Rudisha wants a three peat for the Olympic 800 meters! With four more years, where will Boris Berian, Clayton Murphy, Nijel Amos be? David Rudisha will make it exciting! After Rio, he can do just about anything.
