Tom Nohilly made the World Championships in the steeple in 1995 and 1997. What he learnt from his time as a high school, college and elite athlete he has used in his coaching. As an assistant coach with the HOKA ONE ONE New Jersey New York Track Club, Tom works with some of the finest developing elite American athletes.
Tom Nohilly was asked the question, how do you use fartlek, or ‘speed-play’ with young athletes. Here is his response.
Special thanks to HOKA ONE ONE for their support of the HOKA ONE ONE Coaching series and to The Shoe Addicts, the digital partner of RunBlogRun for the filming, and project management.
