IAAF is happy with Birmingham 2018 progress

RunBlogRun opines: We are quite excited to be going to Birmingham, England for the World Indoors in 2018. It will be a fun meet, followed by curry, kebabs and perhaps, an beverage of some type. The city of Birmingham has a great art scene, lots of history and lots of clubs. So, as @runblogrun reminds you! Be there!

BIRMINGHAM (GBR): The IAAF has given its blessing to preparations for the 2018 World Indoor Championships in Birmingham following a visit last week, reports the organisers. Fourteen IAAF staff spent the end of last week at the Arena Birmingham, as part of a two-day workshop to help plan the championships. The IAAF's Competition and Events Director, Paul Hardy, also head of the delegation, said: "This is a vastly experienced local organising committee and we are confident their planning and preparation are on track to deliver an amazing IAAF World Indoor Championships next March. The momentum of the extremely successful IAAF World Championships in London this summer is rolling onto Birmingham where great competition, innovation and organisation can be expected."
