GOLD COAST (AUS): According to the most recent entry-lists for the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson will only contest the 200m where she will face Olympic 400m champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo and European 200m champion Dina Asher-Smith. Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare is only listed in the 4x100m for the time being. Last year’s world-leader Kyron McMaster has also entered the 400m hurdles and will face former world champions Nicholas Bett from Kenya and Dai Greene from Wales.
RunBlogRun opines: I loved the Commonwealth Games. I went in 2014, and just enjoyed each and every day! I am hoping to go this time around, but it will be, as always a last minute arrangement. The 200 meters alone could be worth the trip.
