Under Armour Running: Some thoughts on Aisha Praught Leer winning gold in the steeplechase

We found the steeplechase video from the Commonwealth Games (April 2018) last month, where Aisha Praught Leer won the gold medal, in a fine, early season 9:21.00 in a bit of an upset. The picture tells the story. Running her race, Aisha Praught Leer overcame a field that had several steeplers with finer PBs. Aisha Praught Leer used her finely honed 1,500 meter speed (she score 1,500m PB and 3000m NR over the winter), to her advantage and won her first global medal.

Congrats to Aisha Praught Leer and her coach, Joe Bosshard. Joe, who we would love to interview, has developed a fine group of women distance runners, who let their feet and finishes do the talking (Emma Coburn, Aisha Praught Leer, Dominique Scott, among others).

We follow with a series of videos done for UA running on Aisha Praught Leer in March 2016. Aisha Praught Leer gives credit to her husband, Will Leer (one of our faves), her coach, her sponsor, her training partners, and that is great. Aisha Praught Leer is a fine distance runner, and she has elevated her game as her event continues to elevate on the global stage.

Congrats Aisha on your gold medal, we look forward to seeing you later this season!
