BRUSSELS (BEL): Following her shock defeat in third place in the discus in Brussels, Sandra Perkovic revealed she had been ill this week. “Actually I was sick, I have a flu since five days ago,” she said. “I thought I wouldn´t be able to compete. This is my 8th final, I won 7 of them. But this Diamond League should not be awarded in 1 final. And 30 seconds for each throw is ridiculous. In other disciplines like the long jump they get more. IAAF should consider this and not make fun of the athletes,” she said in the meet flash quote. Her next meet should on home soil in Zagreb at IAAF World Challenge meet on Tuesday.
