PORTLAND (USA): Alberto Salazar has said Sifan Hassan’s technique is still “not where they would hope” and that her future lies with the 5000m and 10,000m, informs Losse Veter. “We are still working on her technique, the biomechanics are still not where they would hope. I believe there is still a lot of improvement for Sifan. I think by Tokyo, she will be one of the main contenders in the 5000m and 10,000m perhaps. I really believe she can be a great 5000m and 10,000m runner. I think she’s a very good 1500m runner but I think the 5000m will be her best event and I think the 10,000m she will be very good at,” he said. Salazar expects Hassan to run around 69/70 minutes in the Copenhagen Half Marathon next weekend.
