NEWCASTLE (GBR): Top names for the Great North City Games on Saturday include Olympic silver medallist Orlando Ortega from Spain in the 110m hurdles and European bronze medallist Holly Bradshaw up against Finland’s Wilma Murto in the pole vault. In the men’s 500m, former world 400m hurdles champion Bershawn Jackson faces a line-up include Martyn Rooney and Dai Greene as well as 800m specialists Alvaro de Arriba from Spain and Brit Guy Learmonth while top names in the women’s 500m include Lynsey Sharp and Madiea Ghafoor from the Netherlands. As previously announced, Laura Muir and Morocco’s Abdelaati Iguider will both compete in the one-mile road events which will take place in Stockton-on-Tees and Greg Rutherford will also compete for the very last time in the long jump.
