We are posting new reviews of this season’s top cross country racing shoes, as the coming weeks are huge for cross country sales. The four shoes that we are posting today are great shoes for the 580,000 high school boys and girls about to race this coming 2018-19 season.

This is the review of the Under Armour Bandit XC Spikeless $100, the primary Under Amour selection for xc racing , and a company that has a long tradition in making exciting cross country racing shoes. Cregg Weinmann has reviewed footwear and apparel for California Track & Running News since the mid 1990s, and for the RunningNetwork since 1998. If you would like to see this review on Running Product Reviews, please go to: Under Armour Bandit XC Spikeless $100 . At RunBlogRun, our goal is help you find the perfect shoe for you. Our suggestions: always visit your local running stores at end of day, take a clean pair of running socks, and try on five to six different brands, and jog around in them. Real running stores allow you to check the right show for you. For more reviews, please go to www.runningproductreviews.com.

The Bandit XC gets a little mid production bump, an almost update. The upper is a waffle-like mesh with welded overlays shaping the toe, and wrap back to the sides of the heel and its stiffer material. The rearfoot has a cuff that covers the ankle, lending support and securing the fit, and a small strip of foam smooths the contact at the ankle improving sockless use. The lacing is slightly offset, and a panel of synthetic leather supports the medial side of the foot. The midsole is a simple layer of EVA, and a low-profile geometry makes them efficient, just as one would expect. The outersole has a horse-shoe-shaped forefoot and a Pebax nylon plate under the ball of the foot, with only lugs in the spikeless version, but with spikes as well as lugs in the spiked model. The heel is covered in sharkskin-patterned rubber for additional traction. The sum of the parts makes this a tough combination to beat.
Sizes: Unisex 3.5-12,13
Weight: Men 6.3 oz. (size 11, w/ 4 spikes)
Fit: snug heel and ankle, close forefoot
